Dr. Baruch Derin – Deceased April 10, 2021
Israel’s most respected and knowledgeable geologists-researcher of its subsurface geology and stratigraphy. Dr. Derin co-founded GOE to benefit his 55 years of experience in oil exploration. In his career he was Geologist & Director of the Paleontological Laboratory at the Israel Petroleum Institute for 25 years, Chief Geologist at the Israel National Petroleum Company for 11 years, Manager of the Geology Department at the Oil Exploration & Investments Company. Director and Chief of the Nafta-Lapidoth geological steering committee. Member in various government committees on petroleum. Dr. Derin has examined and/or re-examined virtually all the gas and oil drillings in Israel, on-shore and off-shore. He is the author of two monumental works “The Subsurface Geology of Israel“, published on 2016 and “The Structure and Evolution of the Subsurface Geology of Israel Upper Paleozoic to Neogene“, published in 2020. His Ph.D. is in Geology from the Hebrew University Jerusalem.

Zvi Derin – CEO, Vice Chairman
Co-Founder of GOE, led it through its IPO in the TASE. Mr. Derin has over 20 years of managing experience in the field of project management of civil engineering. Has previously served as VP in Electra Investments and Electra Israel. Former head of PMO and CIO of Danya-Cebus. MBA from Recanati Business School, Tel Aviv University and BSc in Industrial Engineering from the Tel Aviv University.
Yigal Shteif – Independent Director
Over 30 years of experience in a variety of management positions, in the public sector, acting as: division manager of collection and information control, at the Israel money laundering and terror financing prohibition authority, commander of the central unit for special investigations at Israel Defense Force (Colonel retired). In Addition, Yigal consults and lectures for various public, private and financial institutions, on anti-money laundering and terrorist financing investigations, fraud and scams. He holds positions as a member of the board of Director for several public companies. Yigal combines his business activities with voluntary activities at charity organizations that helps low status socioeconomic groups, and for sport association that promotes women and youth excellence. Yigal holds a BA degree in Criminology and political science and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Ofra Yamin – Independent Director
Partner in Shaham& associated, Certified Public Accountants, specializing in providing financial management services to consortia in a variety of fields, such as communication, security, biotechnology, energy, biomedicine, clean-tech, nano-materials in Israel.
Ms. Yamin served as VP Finance and HR at a public biotechnology company traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and gained extensive experience and proven success in managing the company’s financial system, fundraising, operations and business development, licensing and management of clinical trials, investor relations and extensive management vis-à-vis boards of directors.
Ofra received a B.A degree. in Economics and Accounting from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and her MBA from the University of Tel Aviv. She qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and was certified as an accountant by the Israel Ministry of Law.
